Like a baby,
A relationship begins in dreams
Need says must be filled;
And with the vision of a newborn,
Meaningless shadows hint
At what will become its home.

Its native voice,
Alternating content and meaning
According to the dictates of belief and time,
Makes what was Whole into parts;
An imagined relationship to replace the Real One,
One that was given by Love Itself.

Even so,
Like a new born infant,
Real Relationship begins in rebirth
Where forgiveness gives it shelter;
What was never there is seen in Truth
And by the light of what it sees
There was no darkness —

Only Love Itself.
