The attraction of what has already gone by
Is seen outside what gave it birth;
Transfixed on grievance and innocence proclaimed,
A guilty world rises from what has not happened.

Shadowy figures gather round from behind,
Weaving in and out of dreams of the world,
and all that seems true is already past.

What is now becomes what belief dictates,
And vengeance or blessing is seen as fate not choice.

The spark where vision resides
Gently touches that which is loving,
Forgetting all else —
Here reality continuously extends the present,
And shadows of the past transform to Love.
